Amy Kaufman

Head Law Librarian at Queen’s University. Canada.

Prior to becoming a law librarian, she articled at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Her articles have been published in the Emory Law Journal, the Canadian Journal of Family Law, the Canadian Law Library Review, and the Law Library Journal, where she analyzed whether there was a public access right to academic libraries in Canada and the United States. She has also co-authored two books.

Much of her research focuses on how law can be made more widely accessible and understandable. She is currently exploring how suffragists used books to explain the law to the public, particularly women, as a political strategy.
