Sarita Albagli

Senior Associate Researcher at the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (IBICT). Senior Lecturer at the Post-Graduate Program in Information Science (PPGCI), developed by IBICT and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Head of the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Information and Knowledge Studies (Liinc). Head of the Research Programme on Open Science and Citizen Innovation.

Editor of the scientific journal Liinc em Revista, a multidisciplinary journal on social studies of knowledge and information.

Senior Grantee Fellow of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Carlos Chagas Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Faperj).

Member of the CNPq Advisory Committee for Information Science and Museology (2017-2020).

Sarita Albagli has led multidisciplinary teams and developed interinstitutional cooperation; published articles, chapters and books; participated and organized scientific events and courses with the support of various funding agencies. She has supervised more than 40 PhD Thesis, MSc Dissertations and Post-Doctoral Studies in Information Science. Has acted as a member of scientific committees of research funding agencies, scientific journals and events, evaluating research proposals and academic papers.
