Victoria Okojie

Victoria Okojie is a member of the International Advisory Committee, UNESCO Memory of the World Programme; and also a member of the Governing Board of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). She was previously the President, Nigerian Library Association; Chair, IFLA Africa Section; Chair, IFLA Division V as well as Standing Committee Member, IFLA Public Libraries Section. She was appointed a member of the Advisory Committee of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Global Libraries Program. Victoria is an Associate of the IFLA International Leaders Programme and a certified International Advocacy Programme trainer. She is an alumnus of the United States Department, International Visitor Leadership Program and a Fellow of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning. Victoria is passionate about development issues in the library sector, leadership and mentoring of young librarians. Dr. Okojie is from Nigeria and currently lectures at the University of Abuja, Nigeria.
